In September, Nielsen Law celebrated the anniversary of its opening. Attorney Liz Nielsen, Paralegal Meg Yetter, and Client Relationship Manager Keith Vance spent several hours in community service at AGE of Central Texas. Liz, Meg and Keith spent time talking with AGE clients, as well as playing games and assisting with lunch service. There was even a bit of dancing!
Earlier this year, Liz joined the board of AGE, whose mission is to help “older adults and their caregivers thrive as they navigate the realities and opportunities of aging and caregiving.” Their programming includes daytime care for older adults with physical needs or memory loss, caregiver resources, caregiver workshops and Memory Connection, programming for people experiencing the symptoms of early-state dementia.
As a caregiver for her grandfather, Liz saw firsthand the difficulties caregivers face, and wanted to contribute to the quality of life for both older adults and their caregivers.
