Our Attorneys

Attorney Liz Nielsen

Attorney Liz Nielsen is board certified in estate planning and probate law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. A native Texan, Liz graduated from the University of Texas at Austin before receiving her law degree from South Texas College of Law. After practicing law in Houston for several years, she returned home to Austin and established Nielsen Law, a firm focused on estate planning, probate, and business law.

Liz is active in the legal community, serving as a member of the Travis County Women Lawyers Association, the Estate Planning Council of Central Texas, and the Austin Bar Association. When she isn’t helping clients, Liz enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, cheering on the Texas Longhorns, and exploring Central Texas.

Attorney Elizabeth Ziegler

Elizabeth Ziegler focuses her practice on estate planning, probate, and guardianship law. Elizabeth earned her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M University and her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law. She is passionate about assisting families with compassionate legal solutions tailored to their unique goals.

Attorney Katlyn Winters

Katlyn Winters assists clients with comprehensive estate planning, trust administration, and probate matters. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin and earned her law degree from the University of Houston Law Center. Katlyn is dedicated to providing clear, reassuring counsel for peace of mind.

Attorney John Glode

John is mission driven with a passion for serving others. John’s professional experiences include practicing law at two large law firms as well as owning small businesses. John’s legal experience includes business planning and corporate law, serving as Guardian Ad Litem for seniors, non-profit law, oil and gas royalty/tax litigation, and commercial real estate and tax-exempt bond financing transactions. John has extensive small business ownership experience, including ownership of an in-home senior care business. Finally, John worked in professional sports at an executive level.

John is active in his community. This includes volunteering for several non-profits, including, most recently, SAFE. John has also served on the Board of San Juan Diego Catholic School in Austin as well as the Board of St. Mary’s School in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

John grew up in Longmont, Colorado. John received his Bachelor of Arts with a double major in Economics and Business from the University of St. Thomas (St. Paul, Mn). John received his J.D., Summa Cum Laude, from Creighton University. While in law school John worked for the Creighton legal clinic which provides free legal services to low-income individuals in the Omaha community. John enjoys traveling with his family as well as fishing and golfing.

John is an active member of the Texas and Wyoming state bar associations.

Our Staff

Heather Zoric, Paralegal

Heather serves as a Paralegal at Nielsen Law, bringing extensive experience in estate planning, probate administration, and client relations. She is dedicated to guiding families smoothly through every detail of their estate plans.

Pam Verry, Senior Paralegal

Pam is our Senior Paralegal. With decades of legal expertise, Pam manages complex probate administration and estate planning document drafting with precision and care.

Kelli Rangel, Paralegal

Kelli works as a Paralegal at Nielsen Law, helping coordinate estate planning files and supporting our attorneys and clients throughout the entire process.

Analisse Quinones, Legal Assistant

Analisse is our Legal Assistant. She uses her superpowers to keep all of our files and estate planning documents in order. She is a recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Communication Studies. Outside of work, Analisse loves exploring Austin’s food scene and watching live entertainment like concerts, plays, and musicals!

Karen Aladume, Client Care Coordinator

Karen serves as the Client Care Coordinator and primary point of contact at Nielsen Law. A recent graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, she earned a degree in Government and a certificate in Elements of Computing. Outside of her professional role, Karen enjoys spending time with friends, exploring new culinary experiences, and playing games such as The Sims.
